About

Hi, I'm Henry Daddy.

The name came from a two-year-old. My bonus daughter called me daddy one day, and I said, "Oh — I'm Henry." She looked at me, smiled, and said, "Okay… Henry Daddy." And it just stuck — family, friends, everybody. So when I started this business, there was no other name it could be.

I've always been the person friends and family call when something needs fixing or something green needs saving. Now I do it full time: keeping plants healthy for homes and businesses across Southeast LA.

No crews, no rotating strangers — when you hire me, you get me. I learn your space, your plants, and your schedule, and I treat them like my own.

If a plant isn't worth saving, I'll tell you. If a cheaper option will work, I'll tell you that too. That's the whole apothecary: show up, do good work, be honest.

The Journal

Notes from the plant doctor

Stories, plant lessons, and the occasional life lesson — straight from the route.

The World Always Needs Plants

“It needs plants the way it needs hope.”

My grandma Caty grew plants in coffee cans and germinated seeds on every windowsill. She said the world always needs plants — and that seeds need the right conditions to grow. The older I get, the more I understand both.

The Ugliest Plant I Own Is My Favorite

“Looking dormant and being dead are two different things.”

It's a morning glory — a vine that looks completely dead every winter, then blooms brand-new every single summer morning. What it taught me about rough seasons and not judging anybody by their January.
